Whether you’re brand new to HSTs or looking to refine your technique, this workshop will guide you through multiple methods for creating perfect units every time. We’ll explore several construction techniques, including traditional two at a time, four at a time, and other efficient approaches. Students will also learn how to accurately square up HSTs, troubleshoot common issues, and apply helpful tips and tricks that make the process faster and more enjoyable. Once your HSTs are trimmed and ready, we’ll play with a variety of layout options—from classic pinwheels and chevrons to modern, dynamic designs—so you can see how these simple units can transform into stunning quilt blocks. By the end of class, you’ll leave with beautifully made HSTs, new skills, and plenty of inspiration for your next project.
